This rustic barn wedding held just outside Melbourne was super amazing. Chelsea and Danny achieved the most fair dinkum, festival style barn wedding of the year. Plus it also means I get to spend the night in a fantastic location, pitch the old tent and have a great boogie with everyone too.
Chelsea and Danny chose Chelsea’s parents dairy farm in Eddington 2.5 hours drive from Melbourne, their family and friends arrived from early morning to pitch their tents. Everyone bustled around all day with preparations. This was very much a DIY wedding, using the old rustic milking barn which was built in the early 1900’s for the reception. Chelsea and her girls spent months being crafty making decorations to hang in the barn entrance, collecting jars to put candles in, and the day before the wedding they painted every glass with blackboard paint!
Being a very musical couple, there was live music for everyone to dance, a stage was set up on a truck lorry. Chelsea’s sisters had re-written the words to American Pie which they sang during their reception, it was such a laugh, the hills were alive that night and I am just so chuffed I also share in their happy happy memory!
