Oh my this wedding was so much fun. Carina & Wade’s rustic country wedding in Talbot just outside of Ballarat, Melbourne was so epic, I was so looking forward to it! Carina & Wade threw such a wonderful party. This wedding hand’s down goes down in history as my rainiest wedding ever!
Carina & Wade spent months planning their dream wedding, they scouted out the empty paddock and with the help of family and friends over the coming months, they cut through the waist length grass and created a magnificent backdrop for their day.
Talbot is in rural Victoria, as I was driving into it I promptly lost phone reception, as I drove through the town center it was like an old country western film, the only thing missing was a hay bale rolling down the street, all the buildings were closed but they were grand and stood tall against the black sky. It is an old gold mining town – its beautiful. The day of their wedding was forecast for the heaviest rains in years – what luck!

But all that rain did not put any dampness on the day, the moment Carina stepped out of the car to walk down the isle to Wade – was the moment it started to rain, and it settled in for a good 3 hours. Remember – these guys got hitched in a paddock, so there was no shelter. But it was so beautiful to watch (Im so glad I packed my gumboots and poncho, bet I looked a real treat photographing this one hehehe)

To all your friends and family guys – you were all so awesome, this album is just wonderful, a huge heartfelt thanks goes out to Carina’s Dad, he organised for me to stay at the local hotel that night because I had no GPS and could not navigate my way to my airbnb I had arranged.
