Couples & engagement photography sessions Melbourne
Ahhh man this surprise engagement photography session on our fine Melbourne streets had me in tears! What a cute couple they are!
Hayden and I had a bucket load of emails & phone calls with each other to arrange this gem of a proposal. See – Hayden lives in Sydney with his wonderfully quirky & beautiful Nelly, they have been together for over 5 years and Nelly was secretly waiting for him to propose. Hayden originally told me he wanted to set this up in a quite park – but I was struggling to find a meeting place to arrange and organise with him on the phone without actually running through it in person first. So I suggested this spot right here – this wonderfully romantic spot that I use a bit in some of my city cruising sessions. The PaperBack Book Store. And I am so glad that Hayden was on board – he pulled it off beautifully with me hiding in a phone box to capture it all!
Nelly was totally taken by surprise (I think she may have cottoned on had he taken her to a secluded park or the conservatory which was our original plan – I may have been given up too, but the busy streets left me most unsuspecting) As they approached the bookstore, Hayden knelt down, but Nelly spun around to admire a book she loved, I could hear her joyous voice commenting on some book title, and when she turned around – well I think the photos tell it all from there!
Every single photo in this little mini engagement session is just bursting with love – I love how beautifully natural each photo is and I cried while editing them as I remembered bits of our morning together.
Nelly & Hayden – from the bottom of my heart, thank you for trusting me to take these super special photos. I must say – photographing a surprise engagement is WAY more nerve wracking than photographing a wedding, Im so glad we all nailed it! And a massive congratulations to you both.
