Ahhh Georgia & Gavin, I simply love a good old country wedding & these two pulled one off spectacularly. Georgia & Gavin are high school sweet hearts. Being a country wedding, of course we did a few fence jumps during our portrait session & yes, cows were included! We ran through a sunflower field & found a patch of wild daisy’s – what a day indeed!
Their reception was held at the iconic Loan & Merc in Oamaru’s Victorian Precinct, such a stellar venue for a wedding.
The story of this beautiful wedding goes back a long way for me. I went to primary school with Nadine, Georgia’s mum. I am an Oamaru girl born & bred, currently I live in Melbourne but I travel home to Oamaru loads. Nadine got in touch with me when Georgia was first planning their wedding and asked if I would photograph – Ummmmm yes! How wonderful! So much connects me to this wonderful union, my mum was a midwife for 25 years in Oamaru & she delivered Georgia, when she was born she was not breathing so mum gave her mouth to mouth bringing her to life. Yeowzza, what a journey, and boy it was such a privilege to photograph this beautiful day!
Georgia & Gavin, heartfelt congratulations to you both, I had such a memorable day with you all, I even bumped into a few beautiful people from my past which was just lovely. I know you will treasure these photographs for ever and ever. And Nadine – how wonderful it was to catch up with you again, you have not changed one bit!Â
All my love, Anna x
